As antisemitic incidents rise, these Montgomery County students and teachers are turning to education

Students from Montgomery County and across the region are leading the charge in countering antisemitism with student-to-student presentations through a program run by the Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Washington. The-peer to-peer classroom experience offers an opportunity for Jewish students to share their heritage and cultural traditions, as well as educating non-Jewish students and teachers about hate speech.

JCRC Annual Gala Recognizes Impactful Jewish Community Members

The awards for community service and leadership are a highlight of the night and serve as inspiration for people to continue serving the Jewish community. This year there were five people, two of them couples, recognized for their work: Phil Margolius (Breslau-Goldman Award); Jane and Scott Brown (Distinguished Service Award); and Erika Dickstein and Todd Rosenberg (Sara and Samuel Lessans Community Leadership Award).
